One of the main things we love about creating custom artwork is all of the new ideas brought to us by different couples, Edel and Sean did not disappoint!
I was super excited when they arrived in Ireland from London and filled us in on their medieval story idea. They were getting married in Kinnitty Castle, Offaly, a venue steeped in history and charm. We were immediately on the same wavelength wanting to tie the ancient castle theme into their invitation and wedding stationery. We were struck by how creative both Edel and Sean were as they got stuck into sketching out ideas in their initial appointment with our designer. You can check out their bespoke invitation here.
The result was a beautiful fairytale invitation complete with a princess in a tower and of course a knight in shining armour. The layout of the illustration framed the text similar to a page in a storybook. We chose to print the invitations on an ivory paper and then mount them on a navy backing card to tie in with Edel’s bridesmaids. The artwork was done in pen and subtle watercolour accents of pastel shades of pink and blues were added.
