Appleberry Atelier client co-ordinator Maeve tied the knot with her college sweetheart Dylan on a beautiful day last May. They had a wonderful church service in Kinsaley Church, just around the corner from Maeve’s childhood home. Next, they headed to the idyllic Summerhill House to begin the celebrations. We’re sure you’ll agree that the beautiful woodland grounds of Summerhill House provide the perfect backdrop for their whimsical fairy tale wedding!
Maeve and Dylan’s day had a vintage feel which was carried through the day perfectly from Maeve’s vintage-inspired Justin Alexander dress, complete with an incredible brooch bouquet, to all the little touches throughout their venue. Photographer Tomasz Kornas beautifully captured all of the unique touches of the day.
Maeve had loved the Chinosierie design from the very beginning of her wedding planning but she also loved the personal nature of the venue sketches. Caught between two designs the answer was clear to our designers, a combination of both!
A beautiful sketch of her church and venue combined with the delicate flowers of Chinosierie. After deciding to use a trifold invitation to show off both sketches, the quirky timeline on the back was the perfect way to complete her invitation.
To tie the Chinosierie design through her invitation suite Maeve used envelope liners and had her envelopes printed with her guest’s names and addresses so her invitations truly had the wow factor when they fell through the letterbox!!
For Maeve & Dylan’s on the day pieces, they continued with the Chinoiserie design. They also used our vintage betting slips to add a bit more fun to the day!
What words of wisdom does Maeve have to pass on to other bride’s?
“Everyone tells you the day goes so fast, and boy are they right!! It’s so important to enjoy every minute! Try to also sneak away just the two of you so you can have a couple of minutes to reflect together on the madness of the day!”
Maeve’s favourite moment of the day was the speeches,
“Only three people gave speeches; Dylan, his best man Ross and my dad. This worked out really well as they all took different approaches so we had a wonderful variety. Ross’s speech was very heartfelt and Dad, ever the joker, had everyone crying with laughter!!”
