Nautical Suite: Louise & Ruairí

Louise and Ruairí arrived at our studio with a large beautiful red book full of work from various tattoo artists, they had a clear vision of what they would like from the get-go. I love that they wanted something different and were daring enough to mix their passion for a tattoo style of illustration with their wedding invitation. Ruairí helpfully provided sketches of a ship he had in mind and together we created new artwork for all aspects of their wedding day which reflected Louise and Ruairí as a couple.

The final letterpressed invitation suite featured hand-drawn illustrations of a ship sailing the sea and an anchor with their initials below in a light blue outline. The invitation fit right in with their summer garden wedding in Tankardstown House.
