Top Tips: Appointment Expectations
Bespoke wedding invitations are close to our heart. They were the motivation behind launching Appleberry Atelier and played a large part in the initial development of our company. No project is too adventurous, and we pride ourselves in drawing from a breadth of experience in both design and printing to produce custom suites like no one else.
Anything is possible, and we’ll guide you through it all. So let us talk you through the first step, an invitation consultation…
Do I need an appointment to look at Wedding Invitations?
Yes, we do request that you make an appointment. We are an online shop with a small office and we are unable to guarantee availability for a drop in.
We recommend ordering a Bespoke Sample Pack online, as your first step. This is a great way to get started and help you narrow down your ideas.
How long is the first appointment?
In order to deliver the service that Appleberry Atelier is known for, we want to be sure that we reserve time just for you, that our invitation albums are available for you, and that we have a dedicated invitation consultant available to work with you.
For your appointment, we reserve a two-hour time slot for you to meet with one of our invitation consultants (appointments typially take one to two hours). While this may seem like a long time, it can take a while to get familiar with all of the various options and then start the process of creating the perfect invitation.
When your appointment is confirmed, we will send you a link to an online Wedding Questionnaire that we ask you to complete and submit to us at least two days prior to your appointment. It’s quick and easy – it’s just a way for us to learn more about you, your wedding and your style so that we can help you to create an invitation that matches your vision. This will help us get to the fun stuff faster during your appointment!
What can I expect during my first appointment?
During your appointment, we go over your vision for your wedding. We spend some time telling you about the various printing methods available for wedding invitations. We show you samples of invitation designs which we feel may tie in with your ideas and to serve as a starting point. We’ll also tell you about ways that you can customize these designs. Please note we don’t create personalised mock-ups during appointments.
We can answer any and all of your questions about design and etiquette. If for some reason, we don’t know the answer to the question, we will find out promptly.
During your appointment, we can provide a rough guide for pricing of our different ranges, and after your appointment, an itemized estimate is sent to you detailing all of your requests.
If you have not ordered a Bespoke Sample Pack prior to booking your appointment, you will receive one during your appointment so you can use it as reference. A booking fee of €34.99 applies for appointment’s when a sample pack has not been ordered.
After the appointment, we can continue to work together by phone, email and online. We work with clients all over the globe, so shipping and working remotely are not a problem.
In fact, we can even conduct appointments by Skype or phone if you are out of the area.
What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?
Since we only have a limited number of appointments available and are holding this two-hour time slot just for you, we ask that you please (pretty please) let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule your appointment so that we can free up that time for another client.
If you know sooner that you won’t be able to make it in, please let us know then as we often have more requests for appointments than time slots available!
